Islamabad hosts to a huge number of parks. Every sector of Islamabad is blessed to have several playgrounds. SPARS felt its duty to participate in a program where it can do something for the well being of the community. Sukh Chayn, company of SPARS was able to collaborate with Capital Development Authority (CDA) for the renovation and development of one of the parks in Islamabad.
Sukh Chayn aims to provide a healthy physical environment to the youngsters of Pakistan. It was noted that firstly, there are very few parks or play grounds where children can go and play sports in a pleasant environment. Secondly, the parks that were allocated for sports activities were not maintained and children were reluctant to go and play in razed grounds.
Under the Corporate Social Responsibility Program, SPARS via its company, “Sukh Chayn”, acquired a play ground in sector F-8, Islamabad, from Capital Development Authority (CDA). Sukh Chayn took the responsibility of renovating the play ground and later maintaining it. Park will be well grassed and new trees will also be planted. Play ground will provide facilities of jogging track, basketball court, tennis court, football ground and cricket pitches. Sukh Chayn will also ensure that the playground will be properly fenced and have appropriate entry and exit points. New benches at the park will also be placed. Moreover, it is also initiated that facility of washroom will also be provided. Sukh Chayn has also promised to provide clean drinking water cooler at the venue.
